Received Today.
Gentlemen, The funeral service (Requiem Mass) for Kgn Dunn-Bridgeman has been confirmed today as 1100hrs Tue 29 Sep 09 in the Metropolitan Cathedral, Liverpool. The funeral service will then take place in Allerton Cemetery. The reception is still being worked on by the CVO, Capt Joe Till and the family. I will keep you informed as details become clear. I have arranged today for the Elizabeth Cross to be presented to Jason's mother Mrs Tracy Dunn-Bridgeman and his sister Chelsea in Liverpool Town Hall on Mon 28 Sep 09. Mrs Dunn-Bridgeman has requested the Col of the Regt, Brig Mike Griffiths to present the medal as his son is a serving officer in 2 LANCS plus Brig Mike was with the family for the repatriation ceremony. The Lord Mayor is happy for this to happen, I have yet to speak to Dame Lorna but do not see it as an issue under the circumstances. The Lord Mayor has also agreed to host a luncheon after the presentation, in the Town Hall for the immediate family and selected members from within the wider regimental family. I can assure you all that there are certain members of the regimental family working extremely hard to ensure there is little or no grief for the family. No other may I add than the CVO and Major Robbie Davies, are you surprised? I will keep you all informed as events unravel. Kindest Regards Mick Hunt
