A bomb has been discovered in Donegal Town in the Irish Republic.
Irish police said a suspect device had been found at 0700 BST on Friday by a member of the public on Main Street in the town.
It was removed for examination after the area was evacuated by police. Army bomb experts have said it was a "viable improvised explosive device".
Main Street was reopened after the bomb was made safe. A number of businesses were closed during the alert.
Gardai have set up an incident room in Donegal Town and appealed for information from the public.
