remembering kingsman roy christopher who died on the 30th august 1972 he was with a patrol from 2 platoon in the clonnard area cupar street when the patrol was involved in a booby trapped house explosion this was on the 18th august 1972 never forget roy or that day or other members of the patrol we were on also paul beaumont who had a leg blown off always remembered alf

hi alf, i had just come of patrol of clonnard gardens, when Roy, and Paul ,went out on patrol with the rest of hte section to open the gates at the end of each street when this happened to them, what a sad loss to us all, ,i wiil always remember god bless.

barnny here remember roy well. came from Leyland our sec was on QRF. the explosion woke us then duty officer ran in and sent us to deploy in clonnard to late to do any thing. think the doc with his saracen was allready there. a sad loss of a friend.

Today i would like all kingos young and old to take a few moments out of your day to remember kingsman ROY CHRISTOPHER, who died on the 30/8/1972 on the streets of n.Ireland. all ways remembered john.

I was in 219 Springfield Road when the device exploded - I remember the day so clearly and horribly. Always treasure the support given by Paul's girlfriend who flew out from Ashton and was such a brick for him and for us. RIP Kingo Roy
