I don't need to tell any of you about the rights and wrongs of this situation I know that, but it seems so incredibly simple that it belies explanation. As yet another Gurkha falls in Afghanistan I feel I just have to have my two pence worth. Phil Woolas claims he is protecting the country from floods of 'immigrants' who would invade the country if he gets it wrong on the issue of the Gurkhas. Rubbish! How difficult can it be to draft up a statement of intent for Parliament which specifically sets out the legislation in favour of the brave riflemen of the British Army unit - The Gurkha Rifles. What is wrong with creating a special category for re-settlement with the specific word 'GURKHAS' in the bill. Will we be overrun by hoards of little brown skinned men and women, sponging off the state and causing trouble on our streets? Right - Yeah! This government is cowardly and completely out of touch with the great people of this country. They are so concerned with PC rights and 1984 style people control that they are blind to criticism from their own masters? Yes, Masters. The Government serves the people - not the other way round. They have missed a great chance to show the electorate that they are in tune with the growing masses of discontented voters and re-connect, but hey, what's new? And as for MP's expenses, don't get me started. Gordon Brown, hang your head in shame

Yesterday a soldier from 1st Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles was killed in Afghanistan. He was good enough to die for this country, but not good enough to live in this country? Mr Brown and co, you shame us all!
