MPs from the Ulster Unionist Party could serve in a future Conservative government, David Cameron has said. "I believe the time is right for Northern Ireland to be brought back into the mainstream of United Kingdom politics," he said. The parties agreed a pact last December to field joint candidates in future European and Westminster elections. Mr Cameron told the UUP's annual general meeting the debate in NI should be about issues like the economy. "Northern Ireland can move on from focusing on constitutional battles, because the constitutional issue is settled," he said. The Ulster Unionist Party currently has one MP, Lady Sylvia Hermon.
