I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO PUBLICISE THE FOLLOWING: From: Karen O‘Rourke, Liverpool Museums I have just had a phone call from a chap called Tim Hurley. He is currently doing a PHD at London University on Northern Ireland. He is trying to trace Lt Col Jim Store/Storr who was co-author on a document – an analysis of Northern Ireland and served with the King’s until a few years ago. A Brigadier Durcan suggested he make contact. If any of you has the contact details for Lt Col Store/Storr – could you perhaps pass Mr Hurley’s details on to him please? Tim Hurley 01483 268 968 hurley_timothy@hotmail.com Thanks Karen O’Rourke From: Paddy Teegan re Major Marklew, Lancashire Regiment Hi Eric, I spoke to you this afternoon ref the above officer. Sean White who drinks in my local was in The Irish Regiment in 1957 and was stationed in Wuppertal/Munster as Major Marklew’s batman. He would love to know if the Major is still alive and what rank did he reach. Sean tells me he was a gentleman and it was rumoured he was destined for high rank. Eric, it would be great if you could uncover any info which I can pass on to Sean. Sorry I don't have any more details for you to go on. Thanking you for your assistance. Yours, Paddy Teegan RAOC/RLC 1962-1996
