Fiji's leader has restored his military chief, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, to the post of interim prime minister a day after suspending the constitution. President Ratu Josefa Iloilo acted after a senior court ruled that Commodore Bainimarama had come to power illegally through a coup in 2006. The president's actions have been condemned by the US and Australia. Commodore Bainimarama was sworn in at a ceremony at Fiji's Government House, from which foreign media were banned. Full Story >>
