I don't know where this came from. Didn't even have to think, it just came out.

A grave lies unattended, the family moved away There's no-one to remember what happened on that day A friend once close forgotten, a war denied by choice A man lives in denial, a man without a voice One dies, one lives to carry on And soon the pain and grief is gone A wife, a house and children too There's just so much, too much to do A quiet night, the children flown The one who lives lies all alone A loved one sleeps, contented smile While black dogs stalk that cold dark mile.
