The Dhoby Wallah, who lived in a shack halfway down the 'cliff' at the rear of A Coy block. They could starch a shirt so that it stood to attention all by itself.

what about a guy called john used to come round the billets selling all manner of things best buys were the shirts which he would measure u up for then bring them within a couple of days with your name on cheap to only£2 remember me and pete doyle having one each oh to turn the clock back keep well

Half a dozen shirts at a time - Ben Sherman rip offs. I was trying one of John's shirts on when Dave Playford came looking for me in the block. What a fight that was. Ruined one of me shirts did all that blood. I wouldn't mind but it was my own

Hi barnny(vinnie)here my favorite was corned beef /tomatoe. were you A coy then i know j terry was and is Blodders really blodwell the famous al jolson inpersonater. it was then i moved to sigs plt great times in Acoy was sent back as sigs det to A coy when we got to ebrington brk in derry used to drive the pig to power station with the guard can nt remember name tho and yes i do remember that to%&*$ officer . I may have photos from derry and strabane pol station will try to find reguards vinnie

Blodders, You will find him on here now and again. We were talking at the NMA NIVA remembrance service last month. He's still the same, a great lad and a great laugh.
We could really do with pictures of the 75-76 tour. We have hardly any. Cheers Vinnie.
