REGIMENTAL RACE DAY – HAYDOCK PARK TUESDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER 2010 The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment will sponsor the King’s Regiment Cup Race at Haydock Park Racecourse on Tuesday 14th September 2010. Entrance to Haydock Park will be available from 1230 hrs; the first race is scheduled to start at 1430 hrs and the last race at 1700 hrs. The start time for the King’s Regiment Cup is yet to be announced. The Final Furlong Bar and the seating area in the Makerfield Stand will be reserved for our sole use and all members of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regimental family are invited to join us for the afternoon. Tickets may be purchased at the entrance gate to the Race Course. However, tickets purchased in advance are offered at the discounted price of £8.50 each and are available from City HQ Manchester. Please make cheques payable to ‘Manchester Office, LANCS’. Prizes will be awarded to the winning jockey and trainer. There will also be a prize for the stable lad/lass of the best turned out horse for the race. Prize giving will take place immediately after the race at the Parade Ring. County and City HQs are requested to disseminate this letter to all of their respective Regimental Association branches who are not on the Distribution List.
